The Wolf Moon only rises once a year… and tonight, it will change her life forever.
Bella will do anything to save her grandmother — even summon a Hellion, one of the King of Hell’s fearsome hell hounds, on the night of the Wolf Moon. If she is pure of body and heart, he must grant her a single wish. If she fails his test, he will claim her soul for eternity.
The creature who answers is no ghostly spirit but a towering, fur‑covered predator with burning eyes and a golden collar that binds him to dark magic. His price for her wish? One night. No limits.
Dark alpha monster, fated mates, dangerous bargains, and heat that burns long after the last page.
The hair on my arms stood on end with static electricity. The air around me crackled. My heart rate accelerated. Oh Hecate what have I done.
I scrambled off the altar, picking up my discarded clothing. I scooted behind one of the larger standing stones and peered around the side of it.
A bright flash of lightning split the night sky. It looked like a curtain opening as the scene in front of me rippled and distorted. The landscape seemed to part in the middle – a vertical tear – and a dark shape stepped into my world.
“Heavens to be,” I whispered. “It’s the devil himself.”
A voice sounded from somewhere so close it could almost have been coming from inside my head.
“Not the devil little human, but close,” the monster said. “I am Lykos. The King of Hell’s chief hell hound.”
Shrieking, I fled from my hiding place. This wasn’t supposed to happen. He was supposed to appear in spirit form only, grant me my wish and then disappear. He wasn’t supposed to manifest as flesh, bone and fur.
I wanted to run but every which way I turned he was there. I was trapped within the circle of standing stones. I spun round and round looking for an escape until I was dizzy with fear.
“You can not run from me, little human. You are mine now, and I will have you.”
